As a voluntary partner for the 2017 TEDxBristol event, we helped produce the new website, making best use of responsive design and our new web application and content management platform, Iconic, in order to promote the event and sell tickets.
We first got involved with TEDxBristol back in 2015 when we sponsored the ‘Great Expectations’ event at the Colston Hall. We enjoyed the event so much that we are back for more, this time as a voluntary partner assisting the team with all things digital.
The new responsive website, currently in its initial launch phase, showcases past events and looks forward to the upcoming ‘Dare to Disrupt’ event. The site has been built using our new Web Application and Content Management Platform, Iconic.
We’ve integrated social media channels and have given the organisers back-office features to help the website facilitate both marketing and operations.
If you would like to read about why we felt TEDxBristol was a great culture fit for Newicon, and also how our Iconic Platform has developed since we began the project, please read our blog article – Newicon, TEDxBristol, And The Dawn Of A New Tomorrow
We’re looking forward to evolving the website with the help of the fabulous TEDxBristol team over the coming months, and we can’t wait for the even.

We were really delighted to be working with Newicon, who are supporting TEDxBristol for the second year running.
The team at Newicon took a really innovative approach to designing a bespoke new website, using their Iconic platform, which made it really easy to administer our content. The result is a future proof web solution that we can build on in future years, allowing us to continue producing brilliant content.
The whole team worked really closely and cleverly with us to produce a solution we were all really happy with. We can’t wait to work with them again in the future to take the website to the next level.Mel Rodrigues
