In order to increase online sales revenue, we created enticing on-site and email marketing promotions, then utilised advanced goal tracking in order to provide and substantiate an impressive 226% return on investment.


Our Solution

Permagard has consistently been increasing online revenue since we built their original Magento e-commerce store six years ago. Traffic volume and sales orders have grown impressively following a well executed SEO strategy, but the site conversion ‘Visitors vs Orders’ still had room for improvement.

Many online stores concentrate efforts on getting more traffic without optimising the website to convert better. It’s amazing to think that if our efforts result in just a 0.1% conversion increase that will provide a significant return to our client.

In order to achieve this goal we’ve undertaken an ongoing on-site optimisation project, which includes the creation and measurement of monthly promotional banners on the home page, product based email marketing campaigns, e-newsletters and split A/B testing of cross-sell promotions at checkout.

Results have provided an impressive 226% ROI and we saw an increase in repeat orders from customers who had previously only purchased once before. In addition, visitors are interacting with the home page banners and how-to-guides much more.

Whats more, custom built promotional and best seller product blocks had a great impact on the website, making the purchase of popular products easier, particularly on mobile devices

We also now track customer journeys from arrival and throughout the store to the checkout, allowing us to really understand Permagard’s customer behaviour and further improve conversion and automate email marketing and on-site CRO campaigns.
